Edgar Tijerina, Board Member

Edgar Tijerina serves as a manager in one of the largest surgical assistance companies in the nation.  His years of experience overseeing multiple healthcare provider’s revenue cycle teams include leadership, negotiation skills, and governance.  Edgar is eager to volunteer his time to ensure the betterment of the association for the benefit of all homeowners with an emphasis on fairness and openness in the association's operations and management.  Edgar enjoys spending his free time with his husband and fur son exploring the neighborhood, dining, museums, and exotic destinations.

Garret Berg, Secretary – Treasurer 

Garret Berg serves as the Manager of Community Relations & Events for Port Houston.  Garret is a proud graduate of Texas Tech University, where he earned his B.A in Business Administration and Public Relations.  His years of experience in the marketing and healthcare industries, including his previous position with the Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner’s office, has helped to create a focused passion for community engagement.  Garret’s current role with Port Houston focuses on the maritime industry, community programs, and stakeholder engagement within the Houston port region. Garret enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two sons exploring the great outdoors and taking frequent trips to the zoo, beach, or museums (all family favorites).

Mathias Garcia, Board Member

Mathias brings passion and lots of professional experience to the HOA. He graduated from Texas Tech with a Bachelors and Masters in Business Administration and almost two decades in the medical sales and  hospital account management field. Currently supporting Texas Children’s and various other acute care pediatric care centers across Texas.  Mathias is a family man and has been an active member of the community since 2016, volunteering many hours to ensure Highland Crossing remains a top tier neighborhood.
